    MD Plast Additives

    Heat Stabilisers

Specially formulated products to improve heat stability for materials subjected to harsh processing conditions. These typically include stop-start manufacturing processes or processing of reclaim. These stabilisers are also used to reduce deformation of goods under constant pressure or high temperatures.

    Optical Brighteners

A range of products to improve the ultimate whiteness characteristic of the material being processed.

    Drying Agents

Products which will remove moisture from the raw material, allowing it to be injection moulded without problems arising from excess humidity. Also specific products for film extrusion containing starch are available.

    Melt Index Stabilisers

A range of masterbatches to enable grades of varying viscosity to be processed with more uniform melt flow characteristics.

    Nucleating Agents

These products are designed to increase crystallisation speed and temperature of the raw material in order to improve productivity of the process. Also help to improve the aesthetic properties of the final product.

    Cleaning Agents

Masterbatches designed to speed up the cleaning process of machinery between colour changes.

    Lubricants

By aiming to reduce internal and external friction of the polymer melt, these masterbatches can reduce moulding cycle times and assist extrusion of film and sheets.

    Antiblocking

These additives prevent film or sheets sticking together during the production process.

    Antistatics

Help prevent a build-up of static electrical charge on the surface of the plastic, thus are significantly reducing the collection of dust on the product or part.

    Light Stabilisers

A range of Masterbatch designed to protect materials from the effects of UV light, therefore are reducing the degradative effect on the final product.

    Flame Retardants

Various different types of additive masterbatches designed to provide differing levels of flame retardancy for moulded parts, films or sheets.

    Anti-Fogging

Masterbatch products which are specially designed to prevent the formation of water droplets on the surface of films in packaging, agricultural or fresh food packaging.

    Foaming Agents

Masterbatches with foaming agents for technical foamed goods produced in extrusion moulding, injection moulding, film extrusion.

    Reticulating Agents

A range of products which aim to increase the molecular weight of the product.

    Binding Agents

Masterbatches which improve the absorption of ink onto plastic films once they have been treated.

    Biocides/Anti-Microbialagents

This range of products is designed to prevent the growth of bacteria, termites etc. within the products or packaging concerned.

    Anti-Cling Agents

Masterbatches designed to prevent LDPE film sticking to itself.

    Cling Agents

Masterbatches used to improve the adhesion quality of extruded film.

    Laser Marking

Masterbatch for use in silk screen printing in order to improve the absorption of laser light, allowing high contrast indelible colours to be used to mark the product.
